- Rooms on the Estate

There are rooms on the estate for guests who are here for a wedding, a gathering, or a private stay. They’re
in the courtyard behind the house — the old estate offices, which we’ve been restoring room by room.

The Main House. At the centre of Gardenmorris is the family home itself — the rooms the Queallys have lived in for nearly fifty years.

For a small number of celebrations each year, the house is opened to the couple and those closest to them, so that you wake on the morning of your wedding in the heart of the estate.

The main house is offered on request, and discussed personally when you begin the conversation

For larger parties there’s additional accommodation nearby. We’ll help with arrangements.

The Rooms

The courtyard currently has six guest rooms and a bridal suite. Each is different — they came out of different parts of the original building — and we’ve tried to keep the character of each room rather than make them uniform. Stone walls where there were stone walls. Original timber where we could save it. Proper beds, proper bathrooms, proper baths where there was space for one.

The rooms aren’t listed with nightly rates in the usual way. They’re taken as part of a wedding, a private gathering, or an exclusive stay, rather than booked individually. We think it works better that way — you’re either here for.

Your closest family and wedding party stay within the estate. Every other guest is looked after fifteen minutes away at a beautiful boutique hotel in Dungarvan — kept within the family, and held for your guests across the wedding weekend. Everything between the two is coordinated for you

What staying here is like

Breakfast is whatever you’d like it to be. We can arrange something in the courtyard, in the walled
garden if the weather is right, or sent over to your room. Most mornings, coffee and the papers
outside is the right choice.

The estate is yours to wander. The lake is five minutes from the rooms, the woodland walk begins at the far end of the garden, and the walled garden is usually unlocked. If you want to be looked after more actively — a guide for a day, a dinner cooked on the estate, a driver to take you along the Copper Coast — we can arrange all of it. Just ask.

When

Rooms are available between late April and early September within the wedding and gathering season. The estate sleeps 34 guests across 17 rooms — with the main house itself available on request
